Regional-scale recreational network along the Yarra River is currently broken in and around Melbourne’s CBD by lacking green spaces and pedestrian linkages. Outside the city centre, however, there are major recreational and natural areas along the river and the Port Philip bay. In order to link these open spaces on the larger scale, creating the new pedestrian link along the river and the one between the river and the urban area, so-called blue-green network, in the city centre is our proposal for the future park of Melbourne.
